Jessica McCarthy is a recent graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she earned a B.M. in Vocal Performance. During her undergraduate studies, she was named a 2024 Presser Scholar and received the 2023 Blue Cross Blue Shield American Dream Award. Throughout and following her undergraduate, Jess has served as the Assistant for Music and Manager of the Choir School at St. James Cathedral, working under the direction of Stephen Buzard. A former chorister at the National Cathedral, Jess is passionate about supporting the next generation of young musicians and their love for sacred music. This fall, she will move to Montreal, Canada, to begin a master’s degree in Choral Conducting at McGill University. After working as a proctor last year, Jess is thrilled to return to RSCM Midwest—this time as the Assistant Music Director!
