Ever since joining his church’s choir program in elementary school Matt’s love for music and education has always been fostered by a close connection to choral music in the church. After attending St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN for his Bachelor’s degree in music education he set off across the prairie and landed in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He now serves as the Director of Children’s and Youth Music at First Lutheran Church where he runs the First Lutheran Church Choir School. Matt is also the Chapel Organist and Organ Instructor at Augustana University. In his spare time Matt coordinates the Orgelkids buildable pipe organ for the South Dakota Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, along with serving as their Director of Communications.
